Blogmas Day 21: Last Minute Gift Ideas
If you’re reading this today and have yet to do your Christmas shopping, I got you! Listen, I think we can all agree that as we get older, we’re actively avoiding accumulation of junk, and actively chasing quality time with our loved ones. That said, gift giving is still fun, and I’d love to give you some last minute ideas if you’re scrambling this weekend!
A sweet treat is a lovely gift to share for the holidays, and definitely doesn’t add to the accumulation-of-junk pile! I have a couple of borderline useless baking videos up on my YouTube channel, but my specialty is absolutely Oreo Truffles, and here’s a step by step guide!
Some people think gift cards are lame, and I definitely used to be one of those people. My husband has changed my stance on that over the years - a gift card is a great way for your giftee to get exactly what they want and avoid a messy post-holiday return situation.
Gifting someone a subscription service is one click for you, and months of joy for them! Some fun ideas we’ve come up with this year are Costco membership, NY Times Games subscription, Factor Meals, National Parks Pass, and with increasingly strict streaming rules, a Netflix/Disney+/Amazon Prime Video subscription is a great idea!
A few of my pals did a white elephant plant exchange this week, and I think that idea is SO cute, and that a unique plant is a fun gift generally. That said, be mindful of your friends with pets, and research to make sure any plant gifts are pet safe!
A single serve cocktail is such a cute gift. I’m stealing this idea from a work pal, who gifted each person on his team a mini bottle of bourbon, a mini bottle of old fashioned mix, a single drinking glass, and instructions to make an old fashioned. Love this idea!
See? Procrastination (no offense!) doesn’t mean you have to show up empty handed! What are your favorite last minute gift ideas?
