BlogOWeen Day 12: September & October Favorites
September and October are not even arguably the best months of the year, they just are the best months of the year. They've been filled with fun and goodness! Sharing all my favorites, which for the first time ever, are all experiences!
First, Camp Maple. Labor Day Weekend, myself, Kyle, and Josh packed up and road tripped to northern Michigan to celebrate birthdays and friendship with two of our very favorite people, Crystal and Patrick. I think I'll forever find it difficult to put the magic of this weekend into words, but simply said, meeting the most loved people of my most loved people was incredibly special. And warm. And fuzzy. And all the things. I left with new friends (yeah, we're still group texting), and I will think back fondly on this trip for as long as my memory allows me. It was Barbies, meets Eras Tour, meets HSM, meets Meatballs, meets The Parent Trap, and I'm insanely grateful to have been a part of it. #teamgreen forever <3
Celebrating nine (HOW is that possible?) years of marriage with boo thang, Queenie, Jules, Boozle, the love of my life. Per always, we ate way too much food at our favorite restaurant and talked endlessly about work, haha. Wouldn't change a thing!
To round out September, we went to see a friend of ours compete in a ballroom dance competition. I live for this type of thing. Bestie Josh made a surprise appearance, and we got to visit my new favorite diner, 4th & State, which is all vegan. Also, picked up some records in support of our girl, Crystal.
We kicked off October with a trip to the pumpkin patch. It's among my favorite days of the year. The weather was so spooky and perfect!
Two weeks ago, we ran downtown on a Monday night to see our second favorite band (see #6 on this list), The Band Camino, touring their new album. At this point, I was really starting to feel under the weather, but I rallied and we had an awesome time!
The boys of A Story Told dropped a new album!! It's no skips. It's so good. I'm insanely proud of them!
This weekend my dad made a surprise visit, which is always fun. Kyle and I bought new lights for our kitchen over a year ago, but we needed some help to install them and, dad to the rescue! We also took a trip to our favorite local burger spot and watched a bunch of Halloween movies. It was such a nice, cozy weekend.
