BlogOWeen Day 4: Watch Worthy for Halloween Part 2
Boo! Part two here quicker than you thought! If you didn’t read yesterday’s post, I’m sharing some new-to-me Halloween watches! There’s a whole world of spooky movies and shows out there, and I’m here for it! So without further ado...
The Comedy of Terrors 1963 - Another Vincent Price classic, he plays a funeral parlor owner with a penchant for drinking. When business gets bad, he’ll do anything to turn it around. Mostly laughs with a dash of spook, this is a fun one for those who can’t handle downright scary.
Final verdict: 6 out of 10 jabbering jack-o-lanterns
The Addams Family 1991 - This is another I’m sure I’ve seen before, but not as an adult. This movie is star-studded and jam packed with mystery and fun. All our favorite characters are expertly portrayed, and I loved this movie very much *snap snap*!
Final verdict: 9 out of 10 flying bats
Haunted Mansion 2023 - If you thought the first Haunted Mansion was good, and I certainly did, then buckle up, this one is incredible. Perhaps my favorite watch of the season so far, this is an all-star cast. I laughed, I covered my eyes, I even shed a happy tear or two. Cannot say enough good things about this creepy reboot!
Final verdict: 10 out of 10 ghoulish ghosts
Totally Killer 2023 - Anyone else receiving targeted adds for this one? Just me? That checks out. Fans of Back to the Future and Scream will love this time travel meets slasher movie. Just uh, be ready for some gore.
Final verdict: 9 out of 10 masked madmen
Goosebumps (the series, first half) 2023 - Okay, so the full series has not yet been released, but the first six episodes are out on Disney + and, WOW. I knew I’d love the show, but it’s so much scarier and way cooler than I could've imagined. If you love Goosebumps books, or any of the recentlyish released movies, you will also love this, just prepare for a scare!
Final verdict: 10 out of 10 creepy crawlies
