It's BlogOWeen, Boo Thangs

Boo! I’m back. I’ve been debating whether or not to go through with this, but at the (literal) end of the day, I hate to stray from tradition. And I love Halloween. And I miss this.

Anyway, for this day 1 of BlogOWeen, my very first BlogOWeen on substack, I’m sharing my #spookyszn bucket list, some of which I’ve already accomplished!

1. Visit a pumpkin patch, obviously! Our local pumpkin patch actually closed up shop for good this year (huge bummer), so we hit up a farmer’s market for pumpkins, and I’m going to call this one done. Check!

2. Watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice, AH!). Another one done and dusted! I got to see this in theaters the day before its official release with two of my Halloween loving buddies. Dare I say, it’s as good if not better than the first. Check!

3. Spend an evening in unspoken pumpkin carving competition with Kyle. We’ll cross this one off the list much closer to Halloween, but I’ve got some fun carving ideas in the works!

4. Come up with a fun costume! I have so many ideas this year, but the clock is running out, so I really need to commit to something. What are you dressing up as this Halloween?

5. “Bake” some festive sweet treats. I’m more of a no-bake girlie myself, but I do have some ingredients in the pantry for a couple of fun twists on classic treats. Is that a vlog I smell?

6. Power through as many spooky movies as possible. I actually made a list this year, which I will share ASAP, and am getting through it quite nicely!

7. Find a fun local haunt. I’m not much for haunted houses and stuff, but I know there are some fun Halloween themed activities in Columbus. Perhaps Boo at the Zoo?
